Everlight Electronics, a Taiwan-based LED packaging house, has announced that its board of directors has decided to set up a joint venture with China-based Shanghai Yaming Lighting with an aim to increase its share in China's LED lighting market.

Everlight and Yaming Lighting will invest 10 million yuan (US$1.46 million) each in the joint venture, which will assemble LED lamps.
